How does F-Plan help to control my dog’s weight?

F-Plan has approximately 20% less calories when compared to a standard diet because it is made from ingredients which are naturally high in fibre and it contains fewer cereals in comparison to a regular dog food. It is also lower in protein and oil which means that the food has less carbohydrates, protein and fat in it. F-Plan therefore provides less energy because it has overall lower calorie content.

Fibre is digested more slowly than starch and it is lower in calories (it contains 3-4 MJ less in energy per kilogramme). This means that your dog should achieve and maintain a feeling of fullness for longer ,which should also help to reduce bouts of overeating.
